Job Summary
Senior technologist to shape architectural direction across Enterprise Observability Platforms, leading cross-team initiatives from planning to execution, translating architectural decisions into actionable delivery plans, and presenting updates to senior stakeholders. Responsibilities include guiding engineering teams in designing observability solutions for hybrid cloud, defining non-functional requirements with product partners, evaluating observability tools (vendor/open source), driving architecture standards, fostering global collaboration, and broker-ing solutions to complex problems. Preferred skills include hands-on experience with Java, Python, or Golang; deep understanding of observability, telemetry, automation of operational processes; and familiarity with AWS or GCP, regulatory/compliance considerations, and resilience requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Ability to switch between technical design and planning, coordination, and stakeholder management
- Experience motivating and influencing software development teams
- Skilled in presenting to executive-level audiences and architectural review boards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technology background in both development and support organizations, ideally within global financial institutions
- Proven team player with experience leading global teams across regions and cultures
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts quickly
