Job Summary
Senior Lead Architect within JPMorganChase Consumer Community Banking, Payments team, shaping target state architecture and providing governance and technical guidance. Leads evaluation of current and new technologies within established standards/frameworks, develops secure, high-quality production code, reviews others’ code, and drives decisions impacting product design, functionality, and operations. Acts as a function-wide SME in one or more focus areas, contributes to the engineering community, and advocates firmwide SDLC practices. Requires formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of hands-on experience, advanced knowledge of software architecture and technologies (cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.), cloud-native experience, and ability to work independently; fintech/banking domain experience with payments is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience
- Cloud certification is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fin-tech or prior banking industry knowledge especially with payments
