Job Summary
Senior Lead Architect within JPMorgan Chase’s Commercial Investment Banking Technology team. Responsible for governance, guiding evaluation of technologies, providing technical guidance to business and technical teams, developing secure high-quality production code, and reviewing and debugging code written by others. Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations, serves as a function-wide SME in areas of focus, and actively contributes to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle. Influences peers and project decision-makers on the use and application of leading-edge technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
