Job Summary
Advise executives on architecture strategy and direction, framing trade-offs across cost, complexity, risk, and business value while mentoring architects for an outcome-focused community. Lead and contribute to architecture governance forums to guide decisions, ensuring consistency at enterprise scale and driving adoption of standards for scalable, secure, and AI-enabled solutions. Define enterprise architecture strategies, reference architectures, and roadmaps aligned to firmwide priorities, establishing reuse-first patterns and paved paths to drive adoption. Guide evaluation of emerging technologies and platform choices, influencing peers to adopt leading-edge solutions that support product design and technical operations. Establish adoptable standards and metrics to drive adoption, ensuring traceability, resiliency, and security controls within regulated environments.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on architecture concepts
- 5 plus years of applied experience in technology architecture, strategy, and engineering
- Experience defining and driving architecture strategies across several domains in large, complex organizations
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, applications, and technical processes within one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
- Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements
- Proven experience guiding enterprise technology adoption, including target states, patterns, paved paths, and scalable integration
- Demonstrated depth in a core technical domain (e.g., cloud, app, data/AI, platform architectures) plus enterprise breadth
- Strong understanding across business, data, app, and technology architecture domains
- Excellent communication skills, translating complex subjects for senior and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to influence business and technology leaders and drive change across engineering and product organizations
- Experience developing implementable standards and paved paths with measurable adoption outcomes
- Experience embedding risk, control, compliance, and resilience considerations into architecture practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with formal architecture governance frameworks (e.g., TOGAF or equivalent)
- Exposure to modern paradigms including cloud, AI/data, distributed systems, and platform-based architectures
- Experience with engineering practices and software development (e.g., CI/CD, IaC, observability)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud, ITIL, CISSP, PMP)
- Track record driving enterprise-wide initiatives improving consistency, reuse, and efficiency
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., operational resilience, third party/concentration risks)
