Job Summary
Senior Lead AI Engineer for GenAI Platform Services specializing in building, deploying, and sustaining AI software components such as foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, and guardrails. Drive the technical vision and roadmap for foundational AI systems; work with Open Source and SaaS AI stacks (e.g., AWS Ultraclusters, HuggingFace, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, PyTorch); optimize training and inference for performance, latency, throughput, and cost; mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products that impact Capital One customers and associates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus at least 6 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
- or a Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus at least 4 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
- At least 6 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
