Job Summary
Senior Lawyer - Regulatory role within Endeavour Group's in-house Legal, Risk and Safety Team. Provides strategic legal advice on regulatory enforcement matters, investigations, and notices across liquor, gaming, tobacco, food, and AML/CTF. Manages regulatory disputes, represents or defends the organisation in tribunal proceedings when necessary, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and support compliant marketing of regulated products. Focuses on risk-based regulatory advice, dispute resolution, and ensuring alignment between commercial objectives and regulatory obligations, with experience in higher-stakes litigation and the ability to oversee a portfolio of active disputes. Hybrid working arrangement in Australia, with opportunities to engage with multiple brands across the group.
Required Qualifications
- Law degree and admission to practice as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction (holding or eligible for a current unrestricted practicing certificate)
- 6+ years of post-admission experience (PQE) specializing in regulatory enforcement, commercial litigation or disputes
- Experience managing complex contentious matters, regulatory investigations, and enforcement actions
- Direct experience with regulators in consumer sectors such as liquor, gaming, hospitality, FMCG, or entertainment is highly regarded
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to draft high-stakes legal submissions and statements
- Ability to manage a large portfolio of active disputes and coordinate with external counsel
