Job Summary
Stamp, seal, and take professional responsibility for boundary, mortgage, topographic, and construction surveys. Review all survey deliverables from field crews and drafters for accuracy before client submission. Communicate directly with title agents, attorneys, engineers, and developers regarding project scope issues and legal description discrepancies. Ensure all work complies with Florida Statutes Chapter 472 and applicable administrative codes. Mentor Surveyors in Training and junior drafters, reviewing their work and supporting their licensure path. This senior-level role requires an active Florida Professional Land Surveyor license and is remote-first with M–F 8AM–5PM hours. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with licensure and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
- Solid command of Florida survey law
- Practical experience across boundary, mortgage, and topo work
- Comfortable reviewing CAD-drafted documents and field notes for accuracy and completeness
- Client-facing confidence
- Detail-obsessed but efficient mindset
Desired Qualifications
- Experience mentoring Surveyors in Training (SITs) and junior drafters
- Experience reviewing survey deliverables produced by field crews and drafters
- Experience communicating with title agents, real estate attorneys, engineers, and developers in the Fort Myers market
