Job Summary
Senior Land Planner will lead site layout and design, grading, and landscape integration for diverse sites, liaise with clients and regulatory agencies, and apply analytical thinking to anticipate challenges and drive compliant, innovative solutions. Responsibilities include developing innovative site layouts that meet zoning and environmental requirements, creating and reviewing grading plans for drainage and constructability, integrating landscape architecture into project plans, communicating design concepts to clients and stakeholders, applying critical thinking throughout the planning process, and staying informed on local regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Licensed professional with 10+ years of experience in land planning and development
- Strong knowledge of the Maryland entitlement process (Prince George’s & Montgomery County preferred)
- Demonstrated team and project leadership experience
- Expertise in site design, grading, and drainage
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, and related tools
