Job Summary

Independently lead planning and execution of complex in vivo pharmacology studies in mice, including efficacy and PK/PD projects, while managing and supervising research associates. Coordinate study staffing, scheduling, and resources across concurrent studies to ensure timely execution, maintain animal welfare, and uphold data quality. Provide oversight of weekend and holiday animal operations and serve as an escalation point for study, facility, and animal welfare issues. Drive continuous improvement of vivarium workflows and SOPs, ensuring compliance with IACUC requirements and regulations. Troubleshoot complex in vivo procedures and facility concerns, providing technical guidance on study feasibility. This senior-level role supports the development of RAS(ON) inhibitors in clinical development at Revolution Medicines' Redwood City headquarters.

Required Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Biology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline
  • approximately 8+ years of relevant in vivo research experience
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex in vivo pharmacology studies from planning and resource coordination through execution, analysis, and reporting
  • Advanced proficiency with mouse handling techniques including dosing (IV, PO, SC, IP), tumor inoculation and measurements, in-life and terminal blood collection, survival surgeries, necropsy, and tissue processing for ex vivo analysis
  • Significant research experience with mouse models of cancer
  • Demonstrated experience supervising, training, or leading research associates and coordinating work across multiple team members
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to provide clear operational guidance and work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, make sound day-to-day decisions, and take ownership of research and operational goals
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with Studylog, Prism, and Benchling
  • Rodent surgical experience, including orthotopic tumor models
  • Sterile tissue culture experience
  • Familiarity with sample collection and processing for IHC and cellular/molecular biology assays such as FACS, western blot, and qPCR
