Job Summary
Own preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize up-time and ensure quality and safety compliance for laboratory equipment used in semiconductor testing. Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues, define requirements for new equipment integration, and monitor performance data to deliver measurable improvements in reliability and efficiency. Lead continuous improvement initiatives with clear, sustained outcomes, ensure compliance with safety standards, and drive Root Cause Analysis (4C/8D) activities through to closure and verification. This role requires full right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship and is located in Stockport.
Required Qualifications
- Full right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
- Essential Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Significant experience in a similar role
- Experience in a service engineering, maintenance, or test lab environment
- Proven track record in equipment troubleshooting, system integration, and project delivery in a technical environment
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and/or mechanical and/or software systems
- Experience with lab/test equipment, maintenance processes, and calibration requirements
- Experience in semiconductor, high-volume test environments or highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of characterisation, reliability testing, or surface mount standards
- LabVIEW or Python programming skills, or experience of PCB design
