Senior KDB+ Engineer (up to 180k per month)

Job Summary
Partner with management teams to integrate functions, define system enhancements for new products, and resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of complex business and industry standards. Provide expertise in applications programming to ensure designs adhere to architecture blueprints, while developing coding, testing, and debugging standards. Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary. Assess risk during business decisions to safeguard the firm's reputation and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. Requires 6-10 years of experience in applications development or systems analysis, including KDB+ programming, Shell scripting, and Unix/Linux environments. This role supports Citigroup's product and process improvement goals with a focus on ethical judgment and transparent control issue reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
- Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Q/KDB+ programming language experience
- Strong development lifecycle understanding and capability
- Scripting (Shell)
- Unix (preferably Linux)
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree preferred
