Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain commercial, residential, and light industrial plumbing systems, including fixtures, piping, valves, and water lines. Diagnose issues to perform safe, accurate repairs and complete rough-in, finishing, service, maintenance, retrofit, and installation work. Read blueprints, specifications, and work orders while inspecting job sites to identify problems and recommend practical solutions. Follow applicable codes, safety procedures, and permit requirements while communicating with supervisors, clients, and inspectors. Maintain accurate service records and support apprentices or junior workers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyperson plumber certification, provincial plumbing licence, or equivalent senior-level plumbing experience required where applicable
- Strong plumbing experience in service, installation, maintenance, construction, or retrofit work
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Valid driver's licence may be required depending on the role
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with commercial plumbing systems is considered an asset
- Safety tickets, gas certification, backflow certification, or additional trade qualifications are considered assets
- Takes pride in clean, accurate workmanship
- Can manage plumbing tasks from start to finish
- Communicates professionally with supervisors, clients, and other trades
- Understands safety, code requirements, and job-site expectations
- Can troubleshoot issues and recommend practical repairs or solutions
- Is comfortable working in service, construction, commercial, residential, or mixed plumbing environments
