Senior Javascript/React Developer - The Hague – Remote / Travel 1 week every 6 weeks

Job Summary
Complete pertinent design documents and execute high-quality solutions aligned with EU Agency architecture standards. Monitor application logs to identify and react to exceptions, migrate code repositories when requested, and configure pipelines for code validation. Submit source code and perform new builds within EU Agency environments, verifying dependencies, Sonar results, and automatic test performance. Provide full documentation, test delivered software against acceptance criteria, and acquire preserved code within EU Agency premises. Commit to a schedule of one week on-site in The Hague every six weeks, with remote start followed by hybrid work. Requires fluent English and a work permit; open to contractors for long-term commitment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree
- +7 years of experience in front-end and back-end development using Javascript and React (e.g. Leafletjs Plotly Veautifyjs)
- Proven and extensive experience (+2 years) in Google Cloud and Microservices e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS
- Significant experience with cloud deployments (e.g. GCP and Azure), Kubernetes, DevOps and infrastructure engineering
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline building tools (GibHub, Apache Maven, Jenkins)
- Experience with GIT
- Ability to create Docker files, write Jenkinsfiles and Helm Charts
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required
- Candidates need to be willing to work 1 week per 6 weeks on-site in The Hague, the Netherlands after Covid-19
- A work permit is required
