Job Summary
Complete Design Documents for software development and maintenance aligned with EU Agency architecture standards. Execute high-quality solutions, monitor application logs to react on exceptions, and commit code to the agency's GitHub repository. Configure pipelines for code validation, submit source code according to CI/CD processes, and perform new builds within EU Agency environments. Check completeness and performance of automatic tests, ensuring Sonar results and dependency sanity. This role requires a Bachelor or Master degree with over 7 years of experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, and React. Fluency in English is mandatory, with a work permit required for non-EU candidates. The position involves 1 week on-site in The Hague every 6 weeks, starting remotely.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree
- +7-years experience in coding with Python and/or Java, JavaScript and HTML
- In-depth knowledge of front-end development using React/Redux
- Proven and extensive experience in development of (backend) microservices
- Significant experience with cloud deployments (e.g. GCP and Azure), Kubernetes, DevOps and infrastructure engineering
- Hands-on experience with Linux and MS Windows environments
- Skilled in software development in a Kubernetes-based infrastructure, network policy servers, Load Balancers, deployment strategies and cluster security
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline building tools (GibHub, Apache Maven, Jenkins)
- Ability to create Docker files, write Jenkinsfiles and Helm Charts
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal)
- Candidates need to be willing to work 1 week per 6 weeks on-site in The Hague, the Netherlands after Covid-19
- A work permit is required
