Job Summary
Lead design and development of scalable, event-driven Java microservices applications within enterprise-grade solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders by facilitating requirement discovery, solution workshops, and technical discussions. Coordinate seamlessly across onshore and offshore teams while driving technical decision-making on architecture, performance, and security. Mentor junior developers and enforce engineering best practices through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD optimization. Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate delivery, enhance code quality, and support modernization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java (Java 11+ preferred)
- Strong hands-on expertise in Spring Boot
- Strong hands-on expertise in Microservices Architecture
- Strong hands-on expertise in REST API design and development
- Strong hands-on expertise in Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns
- Strong experience with Oracle Database
- Strong experience with SQL query development and optimization
- Strong experience with Data modeling and database performance considerations
- Strong understanding of Event-Driven Architecture
- Experience with one or more messaging technologies: Tibco, Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with Docker
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins
- Experience with cloud-native application development
- Experience working in on-premise and hybrid deployment environments
- Experience leveraging AI-powered software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools
- Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development techniques for code generation and refactoring
- Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development techniques for Unit test creation
- Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development techniques for Documentation generation
- Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development techniques for API and integration analysis
- Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development techniques for Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Strong understanding of AI-assisted development best practices, including validation, code review, security, and governance
- Embraces modern AI-assisted development practices and effectively utilizes GenAI tools to accelerate software delivery while maintaining high standards for quality, security, and maintainability
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead technical conversations with business and technology teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Experience coordinating across distributed global teams

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered
- Must be available for weekend shifts
