Job Summary
Senior Java Developer needed to implement software components for customized solutions in the tax administration domain for a European client. Responsibilities include implementing components per design specifications, performing system integration and testing, conducting unit tests, assisting in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines, proactively collaborating with teammates and stakeholders to ensure efficient progress, providing technical input into product roadmaps, triage activities (incident analysis/prioritization), and supporting and optimizing CI/CD processes. Tech stack includes Backend Java (Spring, Quarkus); Frontend Angular; Data & Integration with PostgreSQL, RESTEasy, Hibernate/Panache, Kafka; Architecture/DevOps with Microservices, Maven, Flyway, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jira, ArgoCD, Grafana. Requires 6+ years Java experience, strong Spring/Quarkus experience, microservices/containers, relational DBs, REST/SOAP/messaging, testing principles, and English communication; Nice-to-have Angular frontend, German language skills. Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Java development
- Strong experience with Spring Framework
- Experience with Quarkus
- Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS)
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging (Kafka, ActiveMQ)
- Good understanding of testing principles
- Ability to communicate confidently in English
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams
