Job Summary
Senior Java Developer for Integrated Financial Crime (IFC) program in Glasgow. Design, develop and secure software using Java and Spring Boot; build RESTful APIs and microservices; work on enterprise lifecycle applications with a focus on scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers; participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing; apply secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing. Expect leadership responsibilities in line with AVP expectations, coaching team members, guiding complex tasks, and contributing to risk control, governance, and policy considerations. Familiarity with OpenShift or AWS, Kafka or other message brokers, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Jest, React Testing Library) is valued. Based in Glasgow, United Kingdom, working on a multi-year IFC program to strengthen regulatory compliance and deliver unified technology platforms.
