Job Summary
Collaborate with product and design to define and deliver backend services and APIs supporting campaign delivery across ad-serving platforms. Design, build, and maintain reliable Java and Spring Boot services while guiding technical decisions and mentoring engineers on best practices. Own services from architecture through production rollout, improving reliability, performance, and cost efficiency through iterative improvements. Contribute to key features on booking and ad-serving platforms, enhance testing and deployment practices, and strengthen relationships with cross-functional teams. Work within the DAX engineering team powering audio advertising to millions of listeners.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Java and modern Spring / Spring Boot, applying clean code and contract-first design to build reliable services
- Hands-on experience deploying and running services in containerised environments (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- A commitment to automated testing across different layers
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team, partnering with product, design and fellow engineers to deliver impactful solutions
- A self-driven, solutions-focused mindset with attention to detail, able to take problems from concept through design, implementation and production rollout
- This role is based in our Holborn office with hybrid working
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform)
- CI/CD tooling (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
