Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud Platform services. Write and optimize data scripts for analysis and automation, while implementing automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality. Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines and participate in Agile ceremonies to refine delivery processes. Conduct performance testing and build monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve production issues. Provide real-time production support and troubleshooting as part of a rotation schedule. Communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Java-based API development and automation
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend API development
- Experience with Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) in Java
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and Artifact Registry
- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless design patterns
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Selenium, Postman)
- Proven experience working in Agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment to understand business requirements and translate them into production-ready systems
- Support technical evaluations of other consultants when required, contributing to the assessment of skills and alignment with project needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools; New Relic is preferred, but experience with Datadog is also acceptable
- Experience managing Auth0 tenants
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with GCP Apigee
