Job Summary
Senior Java Developer responsible for designing and building quality Java-based solutions aligned with architecture blueprints. You’ll translate business needs into scalable applications, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with architects and development teams. Key skills include Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, cloud (AWS/Azure), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD (Jenkins, uDeploy, GitHub), databases (DB2/Oracle/SQL), ORM (Hibernate/JPA), and strong debugging, code review, and testing practices. Role requires 10+ years of hands-on experience, a bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/IT, and on-site work at Westlake, TX; Merrimack, NH; or Irving, TX. Capgemini compensation range is $86,129–$127,189 with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering/Information Technology
- 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- Proven experience with Java, J2EE, Spring and Spring Boot
- API Design and development of multi-layer architectures
- Cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, uDeploy)
- Relational databases and ORM (SQL, JPA/Hibernate)
- REST APIs and Microservices
- GIT and version control
- Mentoring and technical leadership
- Agile project delivery
