Job Summary
Senior Java Developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable Java applications for Banking and Capital Markets. Collaborates with business analysts, architects, developers, testers, and client stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. Works on enterprise-grade platforms involving trade capture, trade processing, risk analytics, reporting, data processing, and cross-asset workflows. Emphasizes high performance, security, reliability, and scalability; promotes IT standards, clean code, design patterns, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-ready engineering. Requires 6+ years of Java experience, strong knowledge of Java frameworks (Spring/Spring Boot/Hibernate), relational/NoSQL databases, REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ/JMS), and experience with CI/CD and container platforms. Excellent communication and teamwork skills with advanced English; familiarity with Capital Markets concepts and reporting, and an ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice-to-have: Capital Markets tech consulting experience, exposure to Fixed Income/FX/Equities/Derivatives, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Gen-AI tooling in software engineering.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of Java development experience
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets environments is highly desirable
- Proficient in Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems
- Experience with CI/CD, container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS)
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
- Advanced English level is mandatory
