Job Summary
Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot while contributing to development tasks under senior engineer guidance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps to participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning. Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code and assist in troubleshooting production issues through root cause analysis. Optionally support product ownership tasks such as requirement elicitation and solution scoping. This remote role requires fluent English communication and availability during US East Coast core hours (9 AM–1 PM EST) from Monday to Friday.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional or project-based experience in backend Java development
- Foundational hands-on experience with Spring Boot
- Basic experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Foundational understanding of software development best practices and architecture patterns
- Fluent English Communication
- Availability during US East Coast core hours (9 AM 1 PM EST) from Monday to Friday
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, agile, and remote-first environment
Desired Qualifications
- Java certification(s)
- Any exposure to Azure — even in a learning or academic context
- Basic Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipelines
