Job Summary
Senior IT Systems Engineer/Administrator overseeing Windows-based infrastructure, Active Directory, networking, virtualization, desktop/server support, and cybersecurity. Responsibilities include design, implement, and maintain secure Windows infrastructure; manage AD including GPO, DNS, DHCP, domain trusts; configure networking, firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs; deploy and manage virtualization; provide desktop/server/network support; implement cybersecurity controls including endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability management; collaborate with Compliance Officer for audits; document configurations, procedures, and incident reports; experience with M365/O365; mentor junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- 7 - 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles supporting secure environments
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory architecture and troubleshooting
- Extensive experience in network design, configuration, and diagnostics
- Proven expertise in virtualization technologies and resource optimization
- Strong background in desktop and server support in enterprise settings
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat mitigation
- Experience working in or supporting regulated industries (Federal, Financial, Utilities)
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Must be able to pass a background investigation
- Preferred Qualifications include Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, VMware VCP
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, HIPAA, NIST, Zero Trust, CMMC
- Active Security Clearance preferred
- Experience with Active Directory, Hyper-V, Citrix, Trend Micro, SIEM
