Job Summary
Provide advanced technical support and maintain network infrastructure across a dual site school environment, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the digital learning environment for staff and students. Oversee mobile device management, support cloud services, and assist with safeguarding systems linked to online safety and filtering tools. Contribute to strategic IT development, support projects, and take responsibility for aspects of the network when required. This permanent, full-time role supports the IT Systems Manager in delivering and developing IT systems within a collaborative team, offering opportunities for professional development in educational technology.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in IT or equivalent qualification
- Strong experience working within an IT support or network environment
- Experience supporting Windows and MacOS systems, with mobile device management knowledge
- Understanding of networking including switches, firewalls and infrastructure support
- Ability to provide first and second line technical support
- Strong understanding of IT security principles and data protection requirements
- Experience maintaining hardware, software and cloud based systems
- Excellent communication skills with ability to support staff and students
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within an education environment desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of safeguarding systems and filtering tools advantageous
