Job Summary
Senior IT Project Manager to drive full lifecycle technology projects for a large electric utility client, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget and quality. The role oversees governance activities, coordinates with business units, IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders, and ensures adherence to PMO/EPMO standards. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining project documentation, leading meetings and workshops, coordinating design reviews, testing readiness, and deployment planning, and mitigating risks, dependencies, and issues related to system integrations and third-party deliverables. Requires experience with enterprise system implementations or large-scale technology transformations, and excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree and PMP certification, with strong communication skills and proficiency in PMO reporting and Microsoft project tools. The position requires commuting to client offices and onsite presence three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration or another related field
- 8+ years of project management experience
- PMP certification
- Strong understanding of project management fundamentals including scope, schedule, budget, risk, governance, quality management, and PMO reporting
- Experience supporting enterprise system implementations, platform modernization, integrations, or large-scale technology transformation initiatives
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across technical, operational, and executive stakeholder groups
- Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination capabilities
- Experience managing vendors, system integrators, and third-party delivery teams
- Strong risk, issue, dependency, and change management skills
- Technical project coordination experience supporting enterprise or operational technology platforms
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and complex environment
- Strong skills using Microsoft product suite and PPM/project management tools
