Senior IT Project Manager - Core Banking Platform

Job Summary
Lead complex, regulatory-driven transformation initiatives within the financial services sector, managing IT projects from initiation through planning to successful completion and closure. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify requirements, coordinate interdisciplinary teams, and ensure smooth communication while identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure adherence to project budgets, allocate resources optimally, maintain high standards in execution and governance, and regularly prepare status reports for management. This role requires at least five to seven years of experience in IT project management, ideally in an international environment, with extensive background in regulatory-driven initiatives and large, multi-stakeholder delivery environments. Required Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years of experience in IT project management
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
- Extensive experience in IT project/program management within financial services
- Strong background in regulatory-driven initiatives (e.g., compliance, reporting, transformations)
- Proven track record in managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder delivery environments
- Excellent understanding of banking platforms (e.g., Avaloq or similar core banking systems)
- Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, and delivery methodologies (Agile / Hybrid / Waterfall)
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and C-level management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and escalation management skills
- Full professional fluency in German
