Job Summary
Lead the Project team on realization of project-specific requirements, serving as the Subject Matter Expert for Cybersecurity, Network, Architecture, and associated devices. Lead the integration of the Fluence BESS control system into Transmission System Operator SCADA systems by configuring networks, defining communication interfaces, and ensuring cybersecurity compliance with TSO and customer standards. Develop and maintain documentation of existing network infrastructure, including hardware, protocols, and cybersecurity strategies, while guiding field engineers during commissioning and testing. Execute standardized test procedures for FAT/SAT, perform hands-on lab evaluations of prototype systems, and manage change control procedures. Maintain strict adherence to company safety KPIs and industry best practices, providing relevant reporting to leadership and managing interfaces with clients and subcontractors during tender and project execution phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer engineering, information technology, computer science (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in OT / Networking with a power utility or related industry
- Direct experience in the electricity transmission/distribution sector with EMS/SCADA systems
- Expert of OSI layer models
- Experience in deploying network configurations
- Expert in remote access VPN
- Expert in site-to-site VPN
- Expert in Routers
- Expert in Firewalls
- Expert in Switches (Cisco + industrial equipment)
- Expert in SD-WAN
- Expert in Meraki
- Experience in Linux based systems and commands
- High-level programming languages such as Python and shell/bash scripting
- Experience with Github
- Knowledge about AWS
- Knowledge about Openstack
- Knowledge about Docker
- Expert on the design, operation and maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment including but not limited to inverters, transformers, I/O racks, telecommunications, and controllers
- Solution-orientated mindset
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in German
- Fluency in other language skills
