Senior IT Governance Officer

Job Summary
Lead the definition and maintenance of policies and frameworks for enterprise-wide IT Governance; support the CIO organization in steering governance, ensuring alignment with IT Governance principles, standards, and long-term scalability objectives; facilitate IT steering committees and governance boards, preparing decision making artefacts, documenting outcomes, and promoting accountability; provide expert input to senior risk and compliance committees on technology governance, operational resilience, outsourcing, and third-party risk; drive awareness and change initiatives to embed a strong governance culture across IT and business departments; promote continuous improvement within IT by encouraging standardization, documentation, and knowledge sharing across teams; Take a more active role in shaping governance frameworks, facilitating governance boards and steering committees, and providing expert input to senior risk, compliance, and decision‐making forums.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Relevant professional experience in IT governance, enterprise architecture, or a related discipline (ideally in a financial services or regulated environment)
- Understanding of IT governance and service management frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 38500
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and facilitate effective decision making at senior management level
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives
- Fluency in English; German or Spanish is an advantage
