Senior IT Engineer

Job Summary

Provide comprehensive IT support to employees, including VIP and C-suite executives, while exercising security best practices and monitoring user behavior. Maintain and provision hardware and software for a global workforce using Apple Business Manager and MDM platforms, handling onboarding, offboarding, and re-provisioning. Administer core SaaS platforms like Slack, Jira, Notion, and Google Workspace, and support staff with AI tools. Manage office LANs, Wi-Fi, video conferencing systems, and laptop logistics for new hires and leavers. Configure network infrastructure including Meraki switches and firewalls, and handle vendor management for ISPs. Support the operations team across projects, including internal and external events and office moves, with potential out-of-hours coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support or systems engineering
  • A high degree of security awareness and current knowledge of best practices
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute quickly and efficiently in a dynamic environment with ever-changing and competing demands
  • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, routing, and firewalls
  • hands-on experience with Meraki or similar enterprise networking platforms
  • Superb problem-solving abilities with a calm, methodical approach to complex incidents
  • Confident, outgoing, and whatever-it-takes attitude with the ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects
  • Previous startup or scale-up experience with the ability to manage multiple projects across varying timelines and priorities
  • Strong proficiency in macOS and Google Workspace administration
  • Experience with Jamf or equivalent MDM platforms at an admin level, including creating and managing policies, pushing updates, and deploying patch fixes
  • Experience with AV systems and video conferencing hardware (Logitech, Owl) and software (Google Meet, Zoom)
  • Admin-level experience across core SaaS tools: Slack, Jira, Notion, 1Password, Google Workspace, and Apple Business Manager
  • Experience with office moves, builds
  • Vendor management experience, including ISP engagement
  • VIP and C-suite support experience, with the professionalism and discretion that comes with it
  • A genuine enthusiasm for being in the office and being a visible, go-to presence for the team
  • Must be available for out of hours support
  • Mandatory four days per week in-person presence in Dallas

Desired Qualifications

  • additional experience with Microsoft 365, Adobe, and DocuSign
  • experience with Verizon or other ISPs
  • Rippling MDM experience
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, and comfort supporting users at an admin level with queries and adoption
