Senior IT Data Engineer (Onsite)

Senior IT Data Engineer - onsite role leading end-to-end data platforms for Tyson Foods. Responsible for designing and orchestrating complex data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Python and SQL (dbt, Airflow, Dagster) for a $50B company; architect scalable data solutions with BigQuery, lakehouse patterns (Delta Lake, Iceberg), and event-driven streaming (Kafka, Flink, Pub/Sub); model enterprise data (dimensional modeling, ERDs), enforce data contracts, security, governance, and data stewardship; optimize cloud costs (AWS, GCP, Azure); implement CI/CD for data workflows and manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes) with Terraform; drive data observability, AI/agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and LLM-integrated platforms; collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers, engage with customer stakeholders, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects at scale across Tyson’s manufacturing footprint (100+ facilities, 100,000+ team members). Must be onsite in Springdale, Arkansas, USA; no visa sponsorship and no relocation assistance. Includes strong emphasis on governance, AI guardrails, security, and end-to-end execution in agile teams.
