Job Summary

Execute risk-based technology audits and transformation assurance engagements evaluating cybersecurity governance, cloud environments, and IT operational processes across the enterprise. Assess control design and operating effectiveness using frameworks like NIST, ISO, and COBIT to identify gaps and develop remediation recommendations. Partner with project teams to validate control considerations for large-scale system implementations and data migrations while maintaining auditor independence. Assist in planning the annual IT Audit Plan and mentor team members on audit methodologies and emerging cyber risks. Provide independent assurance over transformation initiatives and communicate findings to senior leadership. This 12-month contract role reports to the Manager, IT, Cyber and Transformation Audit, offering broad exposure to the organization's technology landscape.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • CISA designation
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Technology Audit
  • demonstrated experience in Cybersecurity audits
  • demonstrated experience in IT operational audits
  • demonstrated experience in Cloud and emerging technology environments
  • demonstrated experience in Transformation or large-scale IT initiatives
  • Strong technical knowledge of Operating systems, databases, and networks
  • Strong technical knowledge of Identity and access management
  • Strong technical knowledge of Cybersecurity controls and monitoring
  • Strong technical knowledge of Cloud architectures and security models
  • Working knowledge of governance and control frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, and ISF
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and challenge constructively in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to lead audit engagements independently while partnering effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to work in Mississauga; ON, Stellarton, Dartmouth; NS, Calgary. AB

Desired Qualifications

  • Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CCSP
