Senior IP Engineer, Network Engineering

Job Summary
Design, implement, and manage advanced IP network architectures including routing, switching, and security protocols to support high-availability and high-performance requirements. Perform in-depth network performance analysis to optimize efficiency and reliability, while diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to latency, packet loss, and connectivity. Lead network-related projects from inception to completion, coordinating resources and timelines with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies. Implement and maintain network security measures ensuring compliance with industry standards, and create comprehensive documentation including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance on emerging technologies and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on IP networking and large-scale service provider network environments
- Proficiency in network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IS-IS, Segment Routing etc.) and technologies (DHCP, NAT, QoS, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with network hardware from major vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, etc.)
- Strong understanding of network security principles and practices
- Strong background in Nokia SROS, junos, ios-xr
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally move up to 25 pounds
