Job Summary
Senior IP Counsel at Rush Street Interactive to lead global IP strategy, build and manage international patent and trademark portfolios, oversee brand protection, educate internal teams on IP best practices, and support IP-related commercial contracts. Role includes coordinating with outside counsel, advising senior leadership on IP risks and opportunities, and ensuring alignment with global business objectives across online poker/sports-betting and gaming platforms. Requires JD, active U.S. bar, 7+ years IP experience (patent focus in software/gaming), USPTO filing capability preferred, and ability to work across cross-functional teams with travel as needed. Location: US-based remote; open to candidates nationwide (#LI-REMOTE). Salary range: $180,000–$210,000.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Admission to at least one state bar
- 7+ years of experience in intellectual property law with emphasis on patent work in software, gaming, or related technologies; in-house experience (2+ years) is a plus
