Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift and modern Apple technologies, leading feature development end-to-end from design through implementation. Implement scalable architectures such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection while integrating external APIs, backend services, and AI/ML-powered solutions. Ensure code quality through unit testing, automation, and engineering best practices, participating in design reviews and architectural decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments to contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and mobile platform scalability. This role requires 5 to 8+ years of experience and is based in Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, or Bolivia in a remote setting.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8+ years of professional iOS development experience
- Strong proficiency in Swift and the iOS development ecosystem
- Experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
- Strong understanding of modern mobile architectures including MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection
- Experience with asynchronous programming using Swift Concurrency, async/await, and threading
- Experience integrating external APIs and backend services
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML integrations, APIs, LLM-based services, or Core ML
- Strong testing practices including unit testing, mocking frameworks, and automation
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban
- Ability to work independently with high ownership and technical accountability
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Core ML or Apple Intelligence APIs
- Exposure to agentic AI workflows, automation pipelines, and tool-calling capabilities
- Experience integrating VoIP technologies such as CallKit and PushKit
- Experience building messaging or real-time communication applications
- Experience with modular architectures and scalable production mobile systems
