Job Summary
Senior iOS/Android Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the mobile app for iOS and Android, build platform capabilities, and contribute to product design and direction. Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to scale the core mobile app, leverage datasets to drive objectives, and deliver consumer-facing experiences. Role emphasizes pragmatic problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship/technical leadership for junior engineers, with strong Kotlin expertise, experience in mobile app architectures (MVVM/Clean Architecture), integration of Firebase services, and familiarity with protobufs, REST, and gRPC, plus CI/CD practices.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in mobile engineering (iOS and/or Android)
- Strong Kotlin expertise for Android development with Jetpack Compose and modern app architecture (MVVM/Clean Architecture)
- Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile apps, including protobufs, REST, and gRPC
- Proven track record of shipping consumer-facing mobile applications
- Experience integrating Firebase services in mobile apps (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging)
- Direct experience developing consumer products (not solely B2B)
- Clear ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Mentorship or technical leadership experience to guide junior engineers
- Proficiency with Android testing strategies (unit, instrumentation/UI tests) and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
