Job Summary
Conduct research, trading, and portfolio management activities for privately placed debt transactions. Execute transaction analysis including participants, credit, borrower, structure, deal documents, and relative value scenario analysis. Monitor portfolio securities across various sectors, identify emerging investment risks, and implement risk mitigation actions. Perform portfolio performance attribution analysis and ad-hoc projects, reporting, and analysis as requested. Collaborate with other departments on relative value, sector analysis, and asset class dynamics. Lead data management and maintenance while driving streamlined reporting. Manage individual associates and overall team performance if assigned people leader responsibilities. Reside within 35 miles of Columbus, OH; work three days in office and two days remote.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8 to 12 years of investment experience
- Solid understanding of fixed income and financial concepts
- Understanding of economics and capital markets
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
- High energy, positive attitude, collaborative and team oriented
- Composed and decisive under pressure or when challenged
- Driven, self-motivated, and intellectually inquisitive
- Creative, organized, responsive, and detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to build constructive and effective relationships
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel and other Office applications
- General understanding of technology including databases and other data analysis applications
- Proficiency with fixed income analytics applications
- Demonstrates ability to lead and/or influence people and/or strategic initiatives
- Must reside within 35 miles of Columbus: One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215
- Must be available for 3 days in office, 2 days remote
- Valid credit check and/or background check
