Job Summary
Senior Investment Professional on Nationwide's High Yield Credit Research team identifies, analyzes, and recommends investments within the High Yield bond market. The role may involve leading a team, mentoring less-experienced associates, and contributing to the evolution of the investment process. Responsibilities include conducting independent research on complex issuers, developing and modeling scenarios, assessing valuation and risk/return drivers, communicating investment theses through reports and presentations, collaborating with internal groups, and supporting client objectives. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (MBA/MS/MA preferred), 8–12 years of related experience, strong communication and collaboration skills, and proficiency with Excel (Bloomberg a plus); some travel may be required. Salary ranges provided reflect full-time compensation, with a national range of $153,000–$255,000 and notes on starting range and compensation determinants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, economics, finance, or CFA preferred
- 8 to 12 years of related investment experience
- Proficient in Excel; prior Bloomberg experience is a plus
- Leadership potential or currently capable of being a team leader
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced understanding of Credit Research tools and processes
- Ability to identify risk and return drivers, develop forward-looking scenarios, analyze relative value, and provide investment recommendations
