Job Summary
Source and evaluate investment opportunities in energy and climate tech, building a robust pipeline by engaging with accelerators, founders, and ecosystem players globally. Conduct due diligence on commercial, operational, and impact metrics, then prepare materials for internal investment committee discussions and recommendations. Lead deal structuring using equity and flexible capital instruments while managing Seed-to-Growth-stage investments. Actively support portfolio companies with business strategy, fundraising, and operational guidance to drive financial and impact performance. Contribute to market landscaping research and represent the firm at sector convenings. This role focuses on climate, energy, and circular economy sectors, with flexibility for adjacent high-growth areas like healthcare and food.
Required Qualifications
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, impact investing
- exposure to early-stage or growth-stage investments in India
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of Energy and Climate-tech sectors across the value chain
- Demonstrated track record in growth stage investments, having sourced and evaluated commercially attractive and impactful deals, and added value to portfolio companies
- Ability to understand complex technologies, conduct detailed competitive evaluation and explain in easy manner to a wider audience
- Strong network of founders, co-investors, and ecosystem players globally or regionally
- Highly motivated, resourceful, pro-active, critical thinker, and entrepreneurial - able to take initiative, learn quickly, and contribute to a lean, fast-paced team
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across cultures and stakeholder groups
- Excellent communication skills - able to contribute to clear, compelling analysis and recommendations
- Fluent in English

Desired Qualifications
