Senior Investment Manager - Climate Tech - Europe

Job Summary
Source and evaluate investment opportunities in Climate Tech, conducting market landscaping and executing due diligence across commercial, operational, financial, and impact analyses. Build a strong deal pipeline by engaging with accelerators, founders, and ecosystem players to drive Seed-to-Growth-stage investments in energy transition, clean mobility, and circular economy sectors. Lead structuring and execution using equity and flexible capital instruments while preparing materials for internal investment committee discussions. Manage portfolio companies directly by supporting business strategy, fundraising, and impact measurement, and provide strategic guidance on talent, finance, and governance. Represent Sagana in sector convenings and contribute to capacity building efforts to help portfolio companies scale.
Required Qualifications
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, impact investing
- exposure to growth-stage investments in Europe or USA
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of Climate-tech sectors across the value chain
- Demonstrated track record in Climate-tech investments, having sourced and evaluated commercially attractive and impactful deals and added value to portfolio companies
- Ability to understand complex technologies, conduct detailed competitive evaluation, and explain in easy manner to a wider audience
- Strong network of founders, co-investors, and ecosystem players globally or regionally
- Highly motivated, resourceful, pro-active, critical thinker and entrepreneurial - able to take initiative, learn quickly, and contribute to a lean, fast-paced team
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across cultures and stakeholder groups
- Excellent communication skills - able to contribute to clear, compelling analysis and recommendations
- Fluent in English
