Job Summary

Senior Investment Analyst will contribute to the portfolio management of Rest’s multi-asset investment options and dynamic asset allocation positioning. They will drive the development of Rest’s multi-asset fundamental and quantitative research processes, as well supporting internal portfolio management analysis and reporting functions. Responsibilities include undertaking market, economic and investment research for asset class valuations, developing quantitative models to inform idea generation and dynamic asset allocation decisions, synthesising macroeconomic and asset-class information into implications for investment strategy, developing fundamental market views and communicating them across the Investments team, contributing to daily portfolio management and oversight to ensure alignment with target allocations, assisting in data compilation for investment reporting including board reporting, developing stochastic capital market assumption models and analysing impacts of market, economic and climate scenarios on portfolio positioning, and contributing to portfolio positioning analyses and rebalancing decisions. Required education and credentials include a degree in Finance/Economics or Actuarial studies or equivalent with proven experience; CFA/CAIA desirable; extensive experience in investment management and quantitative roles; strong knowledge of global markets and asset classes; experience with multi-asset portfolios; programming in Python or R; proficiency with Bloomberg/FactSet; ability to communicate portfolio conclusions clearly.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance / Economics or Actuarial studies or equivalent and proven experience
  • CFA, CAIA or similar industry qualifications highly desirable
  • Significant demonstrable experience working in investment management, financial services or a quantitative role
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of global investment markets and asset classes with application to portfolio construction
  • Experience in investing for a multi-asset portfolio
  • Programming experience in Python, R or other statistical computing language
  • Proficiency with financial data and tools – Bloomberg, FactSet or similar
  • Able to clearly communicate and form conclusions on portfolio positioning and risk
