Senior Interior Designer (Healthcare, Science & Technology)

Job Summary
Develop interior design direction for healthcare and science & technology projects by translating complex programming into patient-focused solutions. Coordinate documentation from initial design through completion while establishing client expectations and design goals. Research materials and concepts to support technical concept development, and monitor project progress to verify consistency with objectives. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, Practice Group Leaders, and principals to develop market sector strategies and scope of work. Nurture client relationships, maintain positive connections with consultants and contractors, and provide mentorship to team members. Requires 8-10 years of progressive experience in HC and S&T, licensure, proficiency in Revit, and availability for travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Interior Design/Interior Architecture program or related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience at other architecture and/or interior design firms with a strong design focus and orientation on HC and S&T projects
- Professional licensure and/or certification
- Knowledge of interior design concepts, materials, and furnishing requirements specific to HC and S&T projects – including concepts, practices, standards and principles
- Thorough understanding of the technical process for large-scale interiors projects with a specific emphasis in the HC and S&T sector
- Knowledge of building materials, specifications and construction techniques
- Knowledge of applicable codes (city, state, federal)
- Proficiency in Revit
- Fluent knowledge of adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while integrating a high degree of attention to detail, organization and deadlines
- Demonstrated network and established relationships in the industry
- Prior coaching/mentoring of team members
- Available for travel as-needed basis
