Job Summary
Senior Interior Designer/Architect in San Francisco leading commercial interiors projects in a growing, entrepreneurial studio. Responsibilities include generating program documents through client meetings, space planning, developing contextual design stories and concepts, coordinating furniture and finishes selection and construction document production, coordinating consultant and vendor drawings, leading/conducting construction administration and review of submittals and finish samples, managing client expectations and team communications, generating business opportunity leads, and managing various-sized teams. Requires 10+ years of experience, proficiency in Revit and InDesign, strong knowledge of the design/documentation process (FF&E, furniture systems, materials), proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop, and a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Knowledge of local code and permitting requirements and strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills are expected.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of related experience as an interior designer with a focus on commercial interiors
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- Proficient in Revit and InDesign
- Strong knowledge of the design and documentation process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color, and materials
- Outstanding graphic presentation skills
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop
- Knowledge of local code and permitting requirements
