Job Summary
Conduct system integration, final system testing, and acceptance testing on stand-alone electronic and RF-based equipment while performing diagnostic troubleshooting. Serve as the technical focal point for assigned product lines, providing regular updates on manufacturing status, activity progress, root cause analysis, and recovery actions. Interpret schematics and Engineering-defined plans to perform testing, checkout, fault isolation, and repairs down to the component level, ensuring all documentation is accurate prior to final acceptance. Interpret schematics, diagrams, layouts, written/verbal instructions, and Engineering-defined plans to perform testing, checkout, troubleshooting, operational testing, and fault isolation to ensure conformance with final product specifications. Calibrate and align RF and digital circuits in accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to the component level, and perform repairs as instructed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US Person as defined in applicable law
- Must be authorized or eligible for authorization to access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 5–8+ years of related experience
- Master's degree with 4+ years of related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience integrating and testing Navigation Aid products and systems or similar aviation-related electronic systems
- Strong technical background with the ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and mechanical blueprints
- Analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Strong numerical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience providing on-the-job training, technical guidance, and support to peers and colleagues

- Ability to patiently drive complex issues through resolution
- Proficiency using PCs, Microsoft Windows applications, and other related software
- Ability to work onsite at a Thales facility on a standard 5-day/40-hour workweek or 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule
- Ability to work within specialized environments, including manufacturing/production areas, R&D laboratories, and warehouse settings
- Ability to travel domestically on occasion, anticipated to be less than 5% annually
- FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL), Amateur Extra Class (Ham Radio) license, or prior military experience
- Experience with Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems
