Job Summary
Senior Integration and Test Engineer for Latitude AI (Ford subsidiary) focused on Build and Commissioning. Responsible for design, manufacturing, modification, and testing of prototype and production vehicles to ensure full performance before and during operation; provide guidance during manufacturing and support end-of-line testing to ensure vehicles are built and configured to specification; troubleshoot hardware, software, and electrical issues remotely; coordinate with technical program management and leadership on build and commissioning status; collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and technicians from Latitude, Ford, and partners; travel to OEM/partner sites to accomplish tasks; frequent collaboration across calibration, perception, motion planning, and motion controls to establish scalable capabilities across the fleet; requires travel to Ford manufacturing plants and the ability to operate with minimal direct supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+ years, or PhD)
- Ability to produce and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical designs
- Experience with vehicle prototyping and modification, with focus on electrical and mechanical modifications to support driver assistance or autonomy development
- Experience with developing and executing procedures for configuration and checkout of sensors and compute systems
- Experience with performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis of failures within complex systems
- Strong communication capabilities - ability to communicate with individuals with varying levels of technical background
- Experience with vehicle manufacturing and new program launch support
- Ability to travel to Ford Manufacturing plants for extended periods and work with minimal direct supervision
