Job Summary
Senior Insurance Defense Trial Attorney responsible for litigating moderate to high complexity insurance defense cases across TX/NM, leading hearings and trials, preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs, supervising attorneys, and providing strategic guidance while ensuring regulatory compliance. Role may involve in-person appearances and field travel; remote/virtual work options available. Requires licensure to practice law, substantial litigation experience, and strong written/spoken communication skills. Travel between Farmers offices and field locations is anticipated.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; licensure to practice law in applicable states required upon hire
- Seven years of litigation experience required
- Insurance defense, personal injury, and/or jury trial experience preferred
- First and second chair trial experience strongly preferred
- Multistate jurisdictional practice preferred
- Public speaking and ability to manage high caseloads
