Job Summary
Conduct major process controls engineering projects for nuclear power plants, covering digital systems like PLCs, DCS, and network switches. Develop functional requirement and procurement specifications, prepare documentation for design input including cable block diagrams, and evaluate process instrumentation replacement needs. Interface with vendors to prepare equipment purchase specifications and attend client meetings or site walkdowns to ensure satisfaction. Mentor less experienced engineers on design engineering workflows while leading teams in automating calculations and generating documentation using modern tools. Work on life extensions, digital modernization, and new-build projects for existing and advanced nuclear reactors.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 5+ years of experience in design engineering for process control systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others
- This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in design engineering for nuclear power plant control system
- PE license
- Overseeing engineers who program or script (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate engineering tasks, with review of automated outputs
- We also value additional learning, such as a minor, certificate, or other experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields that enables effective oversight of automation and agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows
