Senior Inspector, Highway & Bridge- $7500 Sign on Bonus

Job Summary
Perform construction engineering and inspections on highway, bridge, and railroad projects in Connecticut, including layout, computations, field tests, and daily site monitoring. Plan and accomplish goals under minimal direction while setting project deadlines and maintaining inspection records. Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements, then participate in punch lists, testing, commissioning, and documentation for equipment turnovers. Provide on-the-job training to new employees and track quality assurance progress. Work flexible schedules as needed, including overnight shifts, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 8 years of related experience performing inspections on related bridge and/or roadway construction projects
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects, including overnight work
- Experience working with Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT)
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- NICET certification Level 3 (or ability to obtain required level)
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a relevant field
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
