Job Summary
Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer at client site focused on Palo Alto Networks NGFW and Panorama administration. Lead L2/L3 support for PA-series infrastructure, manage security policies, NAT, routing, VPN configurations, and device groups/templates in Panorama. Monitor firewall health and threat dashboards, perform firmware upgrades, and coordinate with Palo Alto TAC. Serve as SPOC for Palo Alto operations, mentor junior engineers, drive incident/problem/change management per SLA, and produce MIS dashboards and client status reports. Hands-on experience with PAN-OS, GlobalProtect/IPSec/SSL-VPN, App-ID/User-ID/Content-ID, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, WildFire, and HA configurations. Strong networking knowledge (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, SD-WAN) and ITSM practices. Requires BS/BE in a related field and 5–8 years of Palo Alto experience; PCNSE certification is mandatory; additional PCNSA or CCNP Security and ITIL Foundation are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Palo Alto Networks support and administration
- Strong client-facing experience in managed services or consulting environments
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently at client site with minimal supervision
- Experience in stakeholder management and mentoring junior engineers
- Mandatory Certification: PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer)
