Job Summary
Launch projects through hands-on implementation while evaluating existing infrastructure to drive improvements. Explore client needs to build technical roadmaps and collaborate on solutions supporting business goals. Ensure controls and processes for continuous delivery, driving automation across all stages. Provide expertise in DevOps, cloud, and infrastructure engineering to internal and client sites. Establish partnerships with engineering leadership and adjust innovative solutions to current constraints. Monitor deliverables to ensure technical expectations are consistently met. Work within teams to champion technical quality and effective ways of working.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with at least one IaaS cloud platform
- Experience with two or more application runtime platforms including physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless and databases
- Ability to write scripts using at least one scripting language
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools with different tech stacks
- Experience with monitoring systems for availability, performance or security
- Understanding of security concerns, threats and approaches for dealing with them, including infrastructure platform vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security and software supply chain security
- Must be based in Chile for occasional on-site visits to the client
- Must be comfortable partnering directly with infrastructure technicians, support and network analysts, security analysts, system administrators and/or IT managers to design technical strategies while simultaneously collaborating with senior IT groups in an advisory capacity
- Must be comfortable working within teams of people with diverse roles and levels of experience
- Must be comfortable to adapt effortlessly to uncertainty, embrace change, and confidently make decisions with limited information to achieve positive outcomes
Desired Qualifications
- Bonus points if you have experience with unit testing and automated testing tools, stress and performance testing
- Experience with Linux servers
- Experience with Windows servers
- Experience with container clusters
