Job Summary
Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, and support secure, scalable environments for civic tech teams. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, managing infrastructure as code with Terraform/OpenTofu, implementing security controls (AD/RBAC, encryption at rest and in transit, firewall configurations), supporting disaster recovery, and producing System Security Plan (SSP) documentation. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to keep delivery fast, stable, and secure, ensuring digital public services are reliable and auditable for government-related digital products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of relevant infrastructure/DevOps/platform engineering experience
- Experience with Azure (networking setup and maintenance)
- CI/CD setup and maintenance with GitHub Actions
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform and/or OpenTofu
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Identity and access management (Active Directory/RBAC)
- Encryption at rest/in transit and firewall configuration knowledge
- Experience supporting security compliance processes (SSPs)
- Ability to design, build, maintain reliable, compliant, scalable infrastructure
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and monitoring
